I’m counting down the 100 best dishes I tasted in 2019…
One of the legends at Dominick’s on Arthur Avenue is that they don’t have a menu. The waiters just show up to the table and ask you what you want. The last part is true but I discovered they actually have one communal menu hanging on the wall in the back. And thankfully this plate of classic red sauce pasta is on it. The stand-out of this plate is both the rustic garlicky marinara sauce and the amazingly meaty and tender calamari. There’s a reason this is always on “the menu”. Price: $22
