BRIAN’S 100 BEST ’19: MAINE LOBSTER ROLL at COUSINS MAINE LOBSTER

I’m counting down the 100 best dishes I tasted in 2019…

It pains me a bit to include this on my list but I can’t deny when I taste something that is delicious. Cousins Maine Lobster is a franchise that was started by two Mainers in California. They had success on the TV show Shark Tank and now have locations all over the country. Last year they came to New York in the form of a food truck and a solo storefront. I was hungry and craving lobster so the food truck beckoned. My expectations were low but it was a pretty darn good lobster roll stuffed to the brim with fresh sweet buttery lobster meat, chilled and mixed with mayo. I can’t begrudge my tastebuds. Price: $17
