100 BEST ’19: FLI at ÇKA KA QËLLU

I’m counting down the 100 best dishes I tasted in 2019…

The two dishes I tried at the homey Albanian restaurant Çka Ka Qëllu were hearty and filling. The crepe-like Fli was a savory layered cake that was pleasantly sticky and rib-sticking. It was served with a pickled tomato and a chunk of tangy cheese. Hard to explain exactly but think somewhere between a quiche, white pizza, and a layered cake made from savory pancakes. Price: $7
