It took my a few visits to fully be on board with Ole & Steen, a Danish bakery that’s ubiquitous in Scandinavia as Starbucks is here. But I can safely say these pastries are better than anything you can find at Starbucks. I was especially taken with this traditional puff pastry treat called frøsnapper. Not only is the masterful pastry flaky and buttery, but it has kisses of sweet marzipan and then tamed by savory and salty poppy seeds. It’s a unique sweet and not too sweet treat that is worth checking out. Price: $4
