100 BEST ’18: Classic French Dip at MAISON PICKLE

I’m counting down the 100 best dishes I tasted in 2018…

Maison Pickle is a roomy French bistro that does not specialize in pickles (although they do have those on the menu). The specialty is the humble French dip sandwich and it’s one of the best in the city. Tender sirloin is served on a buttered French roll dabbed with horseradish aioli and served with a bowl of dark jus for dipping. Other interesting varieties with foie gras or gruyere fondu are also on the menu. And all are served with dill pickles – as expected. Price: $21
