ON THE ROAD: Lobster Landing in Clinton, CT

Come back every Wednesday for another funny, informative video documenting my inept food adventures. On the Road has me traveling the country searching for the most iconic and local dishes.

I discovered a brand new app called Tastemade. It allows the user to make one-minute food episodes on their favorite food spots. It’s a perfect way for me to feed my insatiable creative appetite. I’ve been brainstorming some exciting possibilities.

But my first episode (they call them appisodes) revolves around my recent trip to Rhode Island. I’ve had many Maine lobster rolls, but have not found many Connecticut-style lobster rolls that are truly great. The difference is (aside from the source of the meat, of course) is that the CT-style lobster is served hot and with butter, as opposed to Maine’s more preferable cold and mayo combo.

A little off the beaten path in Clinton, Connecticut, I found the best hot lobster roll I’ve ever tasted. Check out my first episode below.
