100 BEST ’19: OCTOPUS at MISS ADA

I’m counting down the 100 best dishes I tasted in 2019…

One of my favorite meals this year was at Miss Ada, a Middle Eastern restaurant in Fort Greene that’s been open for two years and still going strong. In fact, all three dishes I tried have made their way onto this list. That says a lot. The blistered octopus was one of the best and most tender pieces I’ve ever had on this side of the Atlantic. It’s paired with an eggplant puree, charred smoky peppers, and a surprising addition of buttery bright castelveltrano olives. Price: $19
