100 BEST ’18: PUSIT SISIG at MAMA FINA’S HOUSE OF FILIPINO SISIG

I’m counting down the 100 best dishes I tasted in 2018…

Sisig is a popular Filipino dish that I’ve tried many times before. Usually it is a rich bowl of fried chopped pig parts, chiles, and loads of garlic. At Mama Fina’s, they take that concept to new levels by serving six different varieties of sizzling sisig. I found the squid (or pusit) variety especially delicious with plenty of crunchy squid bits soaked up with an eggy decadence. Price: $17
