It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Except for local New Yorkers who get caught up in the crowds of the holiday festivities. Crowds can make this time of year difficult for locals, but it would be a shame to miss all the impressive decorations and joyous holiday spirit that takes over New York this time of year.
I found the perfect way to hack the crowds and avoid being a Scrooge. New York Urban Adventures has a special Holiday Sights & Markets pop-up tour that takes guests through all the holiday sights from the Rockefeller Christmas Tree to Saks Fifth Avenue and then gives them an opportunity to shop like the locals at seasonal markets at Union Square and Bryant Park. My guide Olivia makes sure everyone embraces the holiday cheer on a special holiday episode of Locals Know.
