100 BEST ’18: CRABCAKE SANDWICH at LOLO’S SEAFOOD SHACK

I’m counting down the 100 best dishes I tasted in 2018…

There’s a slightly hidden festive Caribbean crab shack in Harlem that can’t be missed. Not only is the vibe and ambiance exciting, but the food is unexpectedly inventive. For their crabcake sandwich, not only do they use lump crab meat without much filler, but they smear it with a zesty remoulade and the kicker is it’s sandwiched between the fried Caribbean pancake known as a johnnycake. Price: $12
