100 BEST ’18: VEGGIE NACHOS at MADCAP CAFÉ

I’m counting down the 100 best dishes I tasted in 2018…

SADLY, MADCAP CAFÉ IS NOW CLOSED.

Sometimes I seriously just want a plate of vegetables. Something fresh, crisp, and healthy. Most of the fast food places in this town (or anywhere for that matter) don’t sell just a side order of vegetables. But that’s basically what the slightly confusing dish at Madcap Café consists of. Called veggie nachos, they are thinly shaved raw veggies (radishes, carrots, cauliflower, etc.) that are perfect for using like a tortilla and dipping in the green goddess dressing provided. It’s simple but executed perfectly and fills a very specific and much-needed craving. Price: $10
