When people join our food cart tour, they don’t always realize they’re doing it for a good cause. A percentage of our ticket sales goes to support the Street Vendor Project.
The organization is made up of a team of lawyers and advocates who fight for the rights of the street vendors. From organizing meetings to fighting tickets in court to running campaigns to fix out-of-date and unfair laws, it’s a very important organization. They also like to celebrate with good food.
In addition to hosting the annual Vendy Awards, every year they bring their members and friends together to celebrate all the hard work they’ve done. It’s called The Great Street Meet. Check it out below.
