100 BEST ’17: YAKISOBA at DOKODEMO

The East Village is the center for good Japanese food in the city and now we can add one more stop to the list. DokoDemo opened this year selling more Japanese street food – the usual okonomiyaki, takoyaki, and yakisoba. The yakisoba was greaseless and flavorful with a sweet sauce clinging to the stir-fried wheat noodles. It was loaded with vegetables, protein (I got the small sweet shrimp, and topped with lively bonito flakes. Price: $8.95
