100 BEST ’15: STEAK SANDWICH at LOBEL’S AT YANKEE STADIUM

I’m counting down the 100 best dishes I tasted in 2015…

Steak Sandwich at LOBEL'S AT YANKEE STADIUM

I’m not a sports guy, so when I find myself at a sporting event, I immediately do research to find the best possible food option at the stadium. It’s not always easy. At Yankee Stadium, there are a handful of decent options (among the usual overpriced hot dogs and nachos). I was actually blown away by Lobel’s, which has a small carving station at the stadium. They serve up an excellent hand-carved steak sandwich doused in rich and tasty au jus with horseradish cream on the side. While everyone else was cheering for the game, I was cheering for this sandwich. Price: $15
