I was ecstatic when I learned that coconut water, in addition to being uber-trendy, is actually healthy. There’s nothing like the transporting feeling and flavors of drinking the water straight from the nut and then scooping out the coconut flesh. The team at Coco & Co. (nominated this past year for a Vendy Award) sell freshly cracked coconuts from a tiki bike around the city in the summer. They source the fruit from Sri Lanka and they are the sweetest coconuts I’ve ever tasted. Who needs a vacation when Coco & Co are around?
