#2 – SNICKERDOODLES at TRIBECA TREATS

So this list keeps making me feel young again. First, fried chicken and now these little cookies known as snickerdoodles. Snickerdoodles are basically sugar cookies that have been rolled in or sprinkled with cinnamon. They’re not my favorite cookie (give me chocolate chip over anything else), but how can the name snickerdoodle not bring you back to childhood?
Snickerdoodles (I love typing that) were not as prevalent at my house as say ding dongs or klondike bars. But maybe they should have been. The one I tried at Tribeca Treats (which is a strange hybrid of gift shop and bakery) was light and delicious. It had a slight cinnamon flavor and light butteriness that made me feel like I could eat dozens of them. And I probably could have, but fortunately for my waistline, I only bought two.
Would Tribeca Treats’ snickerdoodles make my Top 100 of the Year? I give them a 7 out of 10because they were definitely delicious and sweet but nothing I have to come back for again and again.
