Warm Up With Village Voice’s Holiday Spirits

Holiday Spirits 2014The cold has come. It has taken hold of this city and will probably not release its grasp until April. So what’s the best way to prepare for this onslaught of freezing? Drinking, of course.

Village Voice has another big food and drink event coming up this Thursday, November 20 from 6-9pm and I, for one, am very excited to warm up with some locally produced spirits in hand. It’s a similar in concept to their Brooklyn Pour and Choice Eats, Holiday Spirits will focus on local wineries and distilleries. Over 25 producers will be on hand pouring their specialities.

The event takes place aboard the Hornblower Infinity Ship which is docked at Pier 40 in Hudson River Park downtown. Food, live music, and lots of drinks will be flowing. General admission tickets are available at the website here and are only $50. It’s a perfect way to welcome in the holiday season.
