CHEAP EATS AUDITION

After I didn’t get cast in The Bucket List (the food show I auditioned for previously), I had to get up off the ground, wipe the tears away, and push onwards and upwards. Before I had time to mourn, another food show posted a breakdown looking for a charismatic host who loved to travel and find cheap food all over the country. Could it get more perfect?

The audition wanted you to make a video where you went to your one or two favorite places and explained why it was delicious and cheap. It also wanted you to talk about your relationship with food and how you go about finding cheap options. This was a piece of cake for me (an affordable one, of course!)

So I decided to pick three of my favorite spots in the East Village and created this video. I got some good feedback from the casting director, but after she inquired for some pictures, I’ve yet to hear from her again. I must assume they went with somebody else because the casting was supposed to happen within a week or two.

So now that the waiting, hoping, and crying is over, I can share my audition video with all of you. It’s only a matter of time before I actually book one of these things.
